Camped in dunes, 50m from the north sea. The 3 of us played cricket on the beach as the red sun set and the full moon rose... Avocado got everywhere.
Amsterdam
Here we enjoyed canals, cake, coffee shops, camping and chillin' in Vondelpark! said our goodbyes to
Dan and became a tour of 2 for about 3 hours.
Utrecht
(24/05/07) We have had an eventful few days. Left Amsterdam where we left Dan, ('official photographer') and
got to Utrecht in good time, it was a really nice ride. Lovely to eventually find the G8 bike karavaan.
On sates we
did a
critical mass
which the police stopped
after 1 hour and arrested
everybody and took their bikes.
I managed to get away but Claire was
arrested, they arrested 105 people in total, basically the whole of the
mass. Released nearly everybody but they still have Claire's passport,
hopefully she can collect it tomorrow, (check:

so we are a bit behind schedule with the ride now but can hopefully leave
Utrecht.
Nijmegen
Extremely wet and windy ride, but good to be on the road after the whole group was held up at Utrecht courtesy
of the Dutch police!

Raining again! and if there was an Olympic sport for faffing the g8 karavaan would be getting gold!
